Barrel Lifting

Barrel lifting presents a number of health and safety issues throughout industry. Back strain, toe trapping, finger trapping and other serious and reportable health and safety problems can commonly occur during manual barrel handling – particularly when barrels are rolled from one pallet and on to another.

Using a vacuum lifter enables one operator to repetitively lift and manoeuvre over 300kg with minimal effort. The vacuum lifter comprises of the simplest controls – someone newly introduced to the vacuum lifting principal can be skilled in operation in a matter of minutes. And the vacuum lifter itself can often be fitted in just a few hours (depending on crane suspension size and type).
